Paint it black. Use ducksback, it makes the wood look lovely.

@unscramble it is by Cuprinol. My fence is black but it doesn't look dry. Has a nice sheen to it.

I've wood painted black and the sun flakes it's so bad I've to repaint every year. I'd leave it as is its lovely. Is that a tiled floor?
