Could anybody help please?  I’ve brought some pallets to do some decking in my garden I’m very new to the pallet decking seen so have no clue  the floor is very uneven could anybody recommend a easy way to put the pallets down?Could anybody help please? 2 options-Builders sand. Same as laying slabs. Put it down, level it, pallets down and use a mallet to level the pallet and continue. Second option is use timber off cuts as packers to level

Ok well I would lift a couple of the flags and lay some sand and underneath them. That should help even the flags out. Then you have a level surface.

Long as u get the first pallet u put down bang on level u can use old bricks pices of timber as packers under neath it to get it nice an level

I did mine attached timber posts to each corner of pallet then dig holes and cemented into ground d checked then with spirit level

I've just finished this all pallet based, used to have a huge concrete slab there for a old conservatory so was quite a job getting rid of that and levelling off

Hi sorry to jump in but we thinking of doing a decking out of pallets too, but just wondering do we have to treat the pallets to stop them rotting, before we put the strips of wood on top ? Thanks

The property i moved into had pallet decking the boards on top were good but the frame underneath was rotten so ripped out the pallets and put in a proper decking frame i know lots of people use pallets but personally i wouldnt i would build proper frame

Been pondering same thing for sometime been looking at screw piles or similar as garden drainage is shocking so has to be off ground level a bit
