I would say try it for yourself and check it for your own products, that is the best way

You can always do a A/B test on a campaign or adgroup. Google will allow you to do this on bid types. I have heard very mixed reports on the success. Testing is the only way you will know for sure if it works for you since every business is different.

Pros: you may see an increase in conversion rate. Cons: you WON’T see an increase in conversion rate. You WILL see an increase in click cost and cost conv.
