My conversion data doesn't match and I'm looking for the source of truth. What is the best way to determine how Google Ads are attributing sales? My current campaign's conversions go up slowly day after day, and yet Google Analytics reports 10% the amount of sales.

Try audience segments and exclude referrals on Google Analytics , make sure the data layers are passed accurately on purchases

@bid116 When you have enough conversions in Ads you will find there possibility to see it in data driven attribution. More about dda here:

So, let's say that you can compare them. It's OK. The real question is: What you can do then to get a better performance? i. e. how it will help you to manage the performance?

I do decisions according to data I analyse. If you know better which camapaigne results in conversions, which keyword, which audience. I can do all better

@balata484 IMO data driven attribution can only be analyzed in an automated way (by Google) not by a human. That's why Google pushes it. Data driven attribution for me is equal to 100% automated campaigns (Smart. )

@raynell9 For me no way to understand all conversion paths in all channels, sources, hours, devices, etc. to get the "true" results. Thats for machine learning is designed and used.
