I’ve found doing a pretty extensive interview of questions with the potential client can help weed out the ones that are not going to be a pleasure to work with. Let me know if you’d like me to share some of my questions. It’s helped reduce troublesome clients exponentially!

@glasgow guy sounds like he’s going to be a pain in the ass no matter what, but I would appease him for a bit until he starts getting leads. They usually soften a bit by then.

@kehoe48 sounds like great advice. Yes, he will be a pain in the ass until leads start coming in. Most situations like that seem to automatically work themselves out like you said when he starts getting leads.

Someone like him, send him to ebay and amazon, it's an amazing way to pay per conversion (excluding listing fees)

@glasgow I have found that clients need to be educated that the system is a pay per click model. If they truly want pay per conversion, then you can offer it to him but charge 50-75% on top to leave buffer room when you gen the leads for him. Make him realise that what you charge him is based on the risk you both take. Or easier to just fire him. Not all clients are good clients even if they can pay. I had a $x, xxxpm client fire me, man I was glad.

Yeah, that's what I do with most of the customers. You need to understand the industry standard and how much companies charge for that type of a lead. Of course, will need to understand the CPL, CPA and TLV. Also, depends on what type of agreement you can get wit the customer; Cost Per Lead Or Revenue Share from a job
