Did anyone else take weeks to physically adjust to this diet instead of the few-ish days it takes most to adjust into ketosis? I mean, I'm 3 weeks in and legit feel like I'm dying. no energy, nausea, headaches, weaknessand strong aversions to foods. Does this go away? The first week I felt great but literally day 8 everything went downhill. Just want to know if it happened to anyone else and when it finally stopped? Or am I just being a baby? Ps. I've kept things simple so I could follow protocol precisely

Ive been taking b12 for a couple years now and have been trying to increase my electrolytes and take all the IP supplements. Oh I love that you said food aversions get better with time. I've been reading about keto flu and read that it could start after a week in and last up to a month! So maybe I'm just a bad case of keto flu. I just want this to be temporary because I love how I'm losing weight when no other diet worked before. But, I also have mom duty and font want to be so miserable I cant function.

I dont believe I am. But I'll mention it at the endocrinologist tomorrow. I have been before. But I dont think I have been lately. I do have hashimotos so I do struggle with metabolism and hormones and all that jazz. Lol!

@dickens26 thanks. It's my endo who recommended I try IP. LOL! So hopefully shes got some tricks up her sleeves. My IP coach mentioned the hormones being stored in fat. but if I want to lose fat does that mean I'm just in for a wild hormonal ride? I'm crying all the time too. feel like I'm pregnant again with all of this stuff going on

Watch your electrolytes (sodium/magnesium/potassium) - VERY important.

Dr. Switched me to the alternate plan and said my body was revolting needing a smoother transition for at least a month and then maybe on to the more strict diet. Thanks all for your input and thoughts!
