I’m getting ready to add riced cauliflower to my morning shake. I’m so confused on how to get 1 cup. It’s pre-riced in the bag, I know I don’t measure one cup because that would be too much. Do I weigh 3. 5 oz. ? Also it’s not frozen, I usually add a little crushed ice to my shakes, thoughts?

It’s good  Thanks for discussing this subject, I could NEVER get the hang of adding spinach correctly.

"1c" of cauliflower weighs 3. 5oz. I put a measuring cup on my kitchen scale, zeroed it out, and added riced cauliflower. 3. 5oz of riced cauliflower measured out as 3/4c. Raw or frozen then, 3. 4c measured rice cauli would equate to one cup of your Select Veggies for the day. (Try it yourself to be certain. ) Personally, I liked about 1. 5c of frozen riced cauli in my shakes. But remember, unlike raw spinach, the cauli must be counted. It's a great way to get your Select Veggies in if that's difficult for you.

What does it do to the taste of the shake? Has anyone tried it with protein coffee?

It's flavorless. If you're using protein coffee, be sure it's a brand that isn't too high in fat/carbs/calories for the protocol (i. e., Bulletproof brand, which doesn't fit protocol at all).

@surroundings it’s very good, just bulks it up.

I have personally found that cauliflower and celery are "bulk" foods. They add to the mass or tend to bulk up a dish, but they usually take on the flavor of whatever you are making.

Thanks everyone, now on to a Turnip “fries” I’ve got my air fryer preheated to 400, turnips are peeled and ready to cut. What seasonings, how long? I was following a thread but lost it

I loved, loved, loved them. Need to experiment with seasonings I guess, but really I liked plain old salt and pepper
