Day #8 (version 3.  0) of the @aftmost is trying to kill me diet.Day #8 (version 3. 0) of the @aftmost is trying to kill me diet. It’s been a full week back on the diet and I’m just under 15 lbs. @aftmost is about 3 lbs which is about where both of us planned on being. I probably screwed myself with the amount of DayQuil I took over the last few days (screw you cedar) but that’s what I had to do. I didn’t change my diet and I assume I’m in ketosis still. We’ll see what happens. Day #8 (week 1) recap: 1. Don’t meal prep the same foods over and over. Don’t they say that variety is the spice of life? 2. I am very pleased with my week #1 loss. 3. Apparently DayQuil liquid is bad for you 4. I still haven’t made the tamales 5. I’m still hungry 6. I miss carbs 7. I’m finally back in my own bed, if only for 3 days. 8. @aftmost is very needy when I’m gone. 9. I’m going to get slapped when she reads that. 10. If you are on this diet and are able to stick with it, you’ve already won! Happy Starvation! -@blunger4

You and your toddler equivalent weight loss. I am very proud of you babe. I think we should try to make tamales so you can have a little spice when you go back. And smack for the needy comment.

I too am on week 1, 3. 0. Something to do with what goes on before January. If I lost 15 pounds this week, I'd be back in maintenance. I'm hoping to hit 15 pounds somewhere in month 2. Keep posting. you inspire us all.

Awesome job both @blunger4 and @aftmost! You guys are great! Day 7 for me but I'm staying away from the scale till the end of the month! It's weird I know, but it works for me.

Your posts are getting me thru my reboot 3. 0 as well - thanks! I read them to my husband, a retired navy pilot who was stationed in Kingsville when I met him years ago . He LOL’d at your description of salad “distress” while in the helicopter!  Maybe if I keep reading these hilarious posts to him he might actually consider joining me on this IP bandwagon . would LOVE for him to once actually feel some of the misery I go thru on a daily basis with this! However, knowing him, he would probably immediately drop 25 lbs. in one week and then I would just have to kill him - I‘m only down 4. I almost did the deed this morning when he blithely announced he’s been losing at least a lb. a day doing nothing but casually strolling about a mile daily. . (AND drinking a beer pretty much nightly! ).!

Thank you for these posts. You helped me get through week 1 of 2. 0 for me. I love how you keep it real and your sense of humor is the best. You and @aftmost are adorable. The dynamic between you two is awesome. I have to tell you, I asked my husband to pick up cold medicine for me yesterday and, becsuse of your posts, I was very specific that I needed the pills and not the liquid pills. Apparently, he missed the word "not" and brought home the dayquil liquid pills. I almost lost my mind (I'm sick and starving, you know. ) Also, he should have known. I read your posts to him evey day.

So DayQuil and zzzQuil are bad when you’re on Keto or IPA diet?
