Does anyone own a swing set and have a sloped yard? We want to purchase a playset for our kids but I think we would have to level off part of the lawn first because it slopes down as it goes away from the house. My husband thinks we could just dig out where the posts go and install those to be level, but I think the whole playset area needs to be level. Anyone know what to do here? And if you paid a company to level an area what was the approximate cost? Thanks!

The house we bought has a sloped yard issue and the playset legs are buried in the ground to make the set itself level.

@nicely does that angle the slide weird at all?

@dull4474 Our set doesn't have a slide, unfortunately. The sellers left the set here when they moved. So I don't know if the no slide is due to the yard or not.

We have a sloped yard and my husband says we will just make one side's posts longer than the other side when we anchor them in cement. He has rennovated homes and buildt decks before so i assume this is fine. Altho that isnt helpful if u are buying premade or cannot switch out one of the sides' legs.

You can get quotes to regrade the yard. My in-laws did that last year for their swingset bc of their sloped yard. They got multiple quotes that were all over the board. They don’t live around here, otherwise I’d give you the name of the company

We do. My husband used 4x4’s and 2x4’s to the side that was slopped.
