What has everyone been enjoying for “take out? ” We’ve been having takeout one night per week and we’ve exhausted the regulars. in fox valley mall area please.

Pho Thien (by the DMV) reopened today. We love their sandwiches and flavored iced tea! Also Totopos Restaurant is open and amazing. Both locally owned.

Wild Tuna is awesome! Burrito Padilla, too. Small bizzes. We are also limiting take out to once a week for dinner and once for lunch. We are nuts about bringing Tupperware to eat the food out of during our “car picnic”. Wiping everything. Putting all garbage on a towel in the trunk before eating, etc. I feel crazy, but take solace in the fact that I’m doing everything I can to protect us. My adult daughter who moved back in with us has asthma and we are a little over and a little under 60. Going from eating out 8-9 times a week to 1-2 is crazy! My cooking sucks so we look forward to that day! My birthday is Monday so I get to pick. I know I will need Portillos chocolate cake!

Manna Organics in Lisle now delivers through Doordash if you want taste, healthy varieties! Their vegan mac and cheese, vegan crab cakes and vegan schnitzel are awesome. They also have Beyond Meat burgers and soups of the day. One of my favs is poutine waffle fries.
