Recommendations please.  My 6mo loves bath time and I am thinking it may be a good time to start looking at swim lessons for fun.Recommendations please. My 6mo loves bath time and I am thinking it may be a good time to start looking at swim lessons for fun. I know you can go through Park District. But I want to ask what your favorite place was. My husband and I both want to go and be apart of it as a family, preferably on weekends. Also, did you like swim class for your little around 6mo or 12mo or both? Thanks in advance!

We did the one at Rush Copley health plex. Only one parent is able to go in the pool and depending on the instructor the other parent can watch all the classes. There are three days though that a parent is able to watch. My husband and I just rotated who went in the water with each class.

We used bear paddle. Gold fish is similar. When my daughter was that young we did the park district but it’s outdoors at the civic center or winrock and she hated it. The pool is still very cold. Almost ruined swimming for her. Then we switched and she loved it

Our little guy turns two in June and we have had him at Rush Copely since he was 6 months old. We love it and he’s turning into quite the little swimmer!

We do lessons at the Vaughn center Saturday’s. Families come watch, I have seen two parents in the pool and switch interacting. It is more exploration/play with songs than learning to swim, but if you are looking for fun vs lessons it’s a good fit.

We’ve been using British Swim School and we really like them. Reasonable prices and small class sizes

We used Bear Paddle in Aurora. They have weekend and evening classes. We tried our daughter at 7 months and our son at 13 months. Both made great gains.
