A lot of people’s assessed home values went up. It was based on January 2019 when there was this weird spike.

The overall rate went down but the value of the land and property went up. At least that’s what happened with our tax bill. Ours went up over $1500.

These taxes are the only thing that is going to make us move out of Kendall County after my son graduates high school. we cannot afford the increases year after year and. it’s going to be tough to sell because of how high they are already! I’ve been here over 45 years. it’s so sad.

Values go up, taxes go up ‍♀️, everyone wants their home worth a ton of money but then complain about it when the taxes go up. I see it all the time as an appraiser.
