Question for the single mommas! Sorry if this isn't allowed, but I don't know where to ask. I don't receive child support and don't plan to. I make $50k a year at my full time job and then I have a photography business that brings in roughly $1, 000 a month on average. I do my budget, I meal prep, I don't have a sitter for my son, but I am always so far behind on everything. Can I see your budgets? Tips, etc. Any insight would be great!

Single mom of 2 here. Do you use cash envelopes? Track everything and see where your money goes. I use cc and lots of bank accts to sort out my items. I meal plan and over cook to freeze for another meal. I clean whenever I can and have decluttered and tossed alot to keep my house clean and less crazy. Try a do one chore a day so the thought of cleaning the whole house isn't so overwhelming. Baby steps add up. I take advantage of the time my children are with their father or my parents to have me time, laundry, cook, shop, clean etc. Being a single parent is very hard, good luck!

Seeing other budgets wont help you unless you can do your numbers. your numbers are whats holding you back. I say that because I'm guilty of this too!

If it’s just you two, maybe you can find ways to decrease the food budget & car insurance. Netflix I assume is for your son, so if you absolutely need to keep it, keep it. Are there any cheaper tanning options? ‍♀️

I would suggest maybe paying ahead with your second paycheck. Looks like the first paycheck are the bigger bills. So with your second paycheck, pay ahead or save a bit to help with the first part of the month.

I would track your spending for January. Go back and see where all of your money was spent. That will give you a better idea about why you can't get ahead.

Am I reading correctly that you’re spending $600 total on car a month? Is that a car payment?
