Way too much and i didnt use any of it! Lol With everything going on i would try to pack as little as possible. (Toothbrush, charger, socks (i used the hospitals) , a change of clothes for when you leave, maybe a robe if you’re feeling good enough to change out of their robes after birth, pillow and blanket for yourself or whoever is with you, going home outfit for baby, dry shampoo. delivered at Edwards and they gave me everything i needed for myself and baby until we left!

A nicer outfit for yourself if you are doing photos in the hospital. I was in sweats and a nursing tank with my first because I wasn’t thinking I would be in the pictures.

They aren't allowing the bella baby photographer right now. ☹

@champion17 unfortunately, I don’t think photos are happening at this time. Unless you take a few yourself.

An extension cord! My cousin suggested it and she was right! There were no outlets close to the hospital bed!

Mini bottles of my own soaps and shampoos, nursing bra that I didn’t even wear  nice robe, fuzzy socks with grippies, own towel (theirs are small and scratchy so it was nice to have something comfy for first shower), comfy going home outfit for self and a couple different sizes of going home outfit for baby Incase she was bigger or smaller, I brought just my everyday makeup because it makes me feel more human for going home, chapstick, own roll of toilet paper that was super soft (was a suggestion from a family member and probably would’ve been great if I hadn’t had a c section anyways ‍♀️) they have everything for baby and nipple creams ect and I spent majority of the time in the hospital robe since I had a bunch of ivs in I couldn’t get my clothes on over them.

I had a completely unplanned emergency csection at Prentice in March and only carried in my phone and had my husband run to the car to grab my charger. They provided me with everything else. Our son stayed in the NICU at Luries but I’d bring a boppy, robe, and nursing bra as well for those first few days. I feel like new moms tend to super over pack (nesting at its finest) but I just wanted to say that somehow I managed just fine when I had no choice going home to pack and all I had was my cell phone!

They don’t allow food to be brought in so pick a few of your favorite snacks ! I took my yeti cup to keep that ice and water nice and cold it was helpful. Sandals for shower a robe or your own outfit for after shower I suggest a nursing gown. I brought my own blanket best thing ever. And everything you would want to travel with pretty much like hair brush toothbrush etc. Oh and boopy was very helpful for nursing

Had 3rd baby 7 months ago I say Chapstick, hair ties, shampoo, conditioner, and face wipes in case you end up having to stay in bed. Extra long cord phone charger. And slippers or comfy slip on shoes to wear around. I brought my own small blanket because I was there for a few days before I had him.

Change of clothes! I hated wearing the hospital gowns. Clothes for the baby. Shampoo, body wash, face wash, etc. nipple cream, nursing bra, iPad, cards, games, make up, any props or outfits for new born pics, slippers, phone charger.

@swordsman7 yah I know I over packed but it makes me feel better having the stuff if I want it . I’m having a repeat csection so I’ll be there at least the 48 hours but yah I heard 24 hrs for vaginal births if everything is okay . last birth I couldn’t even get up the first day bc of the amount of bleeding (sry tmi) so I dno what this time will be like . so I’m packing for 3 days just in case .

Did you pack a pretty robe? And maybe your own comfy night gown. It's better than wearing the ugly hospital gowns, especially in photos.

@electrolytic Rosa i did not thank you!

Comfy robe, nursing nightgown (if you plan to breastfeed), blanket, definitely your own pads.
