Illinois families, you better get proactive on this. The parents should have the right to decide not the government. This is about our rights to FREEDOM Of CHOICE. How is HPV needed to be mandatory? Maybe our government officials don’t realize how this is transmitted.

If you oppose these bills and want to help make an impact. We need all the voices we can to get these mandates stopped. This is how you find your state, house and senate representatives for your district. Call your House rep and tell them you oppose HB4870- mandatory HPV starting at 6th grade Call your Senate representative to oppose SB3668- which takes away exemptions and you will be considered neglectful if you don’t give your child the full recommended schedule which includes the flu shot, hpv and 200 new vaccines in the pipeline starting this year.

Would love to see this get passed!

Stacy, this is my point, you have the freedom to contact your senator and congressperson and voice your opinion. If bills like this pass we will loose our freedom of choice.

I’m surprised they are actually considering adding HPV to the list. It’s a new vaccine and hasn’t been around long enough to get solid data on the effects it may have on a woman’s reproductive system.

I’m not overly concerned about things in general, and even I can see that you should have evidence-based success rates before you make something that has been known to cause harm to many more people than the other vaccines, before making it mandatory. I’m not making calls though. I’ll leave that to the concerned.
