Will it show a date eventually?

Some people are getting their refunds without this system being updated. You can log into the ITS website and look at your account. There are these slips that show details of your return and will give you a date but you have to have specific information to be able to make an account.

@rapping you have to create an account and then request to view transcripts but the thing is, they require you to have information to be able to verify it’s really you.

I checked “where’s my refund” website and it gave a date once it was processed

My sister told me if you don’t get the child tax credit the refund is coming in 2-3 weeks like normal. With the child tax credit it’s taking a month or longer. Not sure if that is true but the people I know that have gotten it back don’t have kids or they are grown.

Yes this is true. we also filed mid january they said with the child tax credit, people won’t be seeing their refund until possibly first week of march!

I googled it last night. Last year, Congress passed a law requiring the IRS to hold the refunds of all tax returns claiming these credits until February 15, 2020, regardless of when the returns were filed. The goal is to reduce fraud that sometimes occurs on returns claiming these credits.

@deangelis i did mine the same day and have no update. My cousin has a date on her and she only claimed one kid maybe that has something to do with it ‍♀️

@casimiracasimire me too! It’s almost a month! Last year I got the child tax credit and didn’t have to wait this long! I got it back in a week last year what’s the damn hold up this year! Hello people need that money!

Mine says the same. Anyone taking the EIC apparently won’t get their refunds until March 1st according to what I found online.

We filed on the 8th and we got ours yesterday. And that’s with the child credits.

We filed 2/12 and got it today. Only federal.

My tax person told me 2 weeks for a refund.

It took 3 weeks for me to even get an update that they got it now I’m waiting to show a date

@deangelis THats why it takes longer with they earned tax credit. People without it have gotten their returns but they one takes longer

I haven’t gotten approved either! I filed 02/05! It’s not about the money tbh. We rarely get anything back. We don’t get ETC either. I just don’t want to be audited.

I filed for my taxes on 2-3 and got them on 2-20 if that helps.

Mine still says that if I go to check the status and I received my refund on Monday after filing on feb 1
