Hi Everyone!  So I am having issues with my ring and my dad’s Samsung Galaxy S10+.Hi Everyone! So I am having issues with my ring and my dad’s Samsung Galaxy S10+. Every time we try to open live view it won’t work and will time out. The only way he can use it is if he is on the home WiFi. This doesn’t happen on my Mom’s iPhone nor my iPhone. Any suggestions? I already tried network reset and all that stuff and even upgraded his data plan.

It's not the s10+, I've had one since launch and no issues. Is the ring camera battery powered? Those are the only cameras that have been known to not play nice with mesh/1ssid APs

Dude, if it works on two different iPhones, but not the android, it IS the phone.

That 1 particular phone, who can say. It's not the model type or OS. What is the carrier. Are the phones connecting to the same wifi? Same ssid, same channel (2. 4/5g). Are they doing the live view test at the same exact time iphone to android? They are using 2 different versions on the app, are they both current? So many questions and yet I can say for a fact, my s10+ works without fail. Now I believe that was very helpful information to know. @cottager't you agree?

Check the data limits for the app as well. Some may be set to work on wifi only.

I had an issue on my S10 the other day where I couldn't load live view, it corrected itself within 24 hrs.

I've always had issues with Ring on my S10+. Once I got the Note 10+, I don't have those issues anymore.

I have never had an issue with my S10 till this last update. Now every time I check the cameras even on wifi in my home it tells me I have poor connection. Never had this issue till the last update.

Ring update, or android update? Android just had an update days ago.

I’ve got battery operated and note 10+, no major issues to report, like your speaking of. As @georgiannegeorgic said above, tried deleting the app, reboot phone and then re-add the app.
