Anyone else having trouble changing chime tones within your iPhone app? I called ring and they do not know what’s causing the problem they said they will be getting back with me.

I’ve had the problem in the past. Unplug chime, plug chime back in, update chime via app and it usually takes.

@cooperman66449  I would call back tomorrow and tell them it’s unacceptable. tell them you want it replaced. As long as you have protect plus then they should replace it no matter how old it is.

@pentosan53231 how old is your chime?

I just called back because I won’t be able to call tomorrow-they told me that even if they sent me a new one it would still give me the same problem, that it has nothing to do with the device or how old or new it is.

@cooperman66449 I have a chime and 2 chime pros (I use them as chimes only). They’re all about 2 years old or so. That being said, I haven’t tried to update them since just after Christmas.

@pentosan53231 Mine is a little over a year old. I had mine on barking dogs since I first set it up and then I tried to switch it to something else and then it wouldn’t let me. It went back to default and then it wouldn’t let me switch it back to barking dog‘s.

@cooperman66449 if I remember tomorrow, I’ll try to change it. Maybe it’s a glitch in their software right now and they need to update the app?

@pentosan53231 I found out that some people have been having the problem since December last year.

No problem here. Deleted the app. Reboot using the two or three key method depending on model. Re-download and install.

@tumefaction50967 I too had deleted the app and reinstalled. What do you mean reboot using the two or three key method depending on model? What model do you have?

@cooperman66449 iPhone 11 Pro Max. Reboot sequence, up volume, down volume, then immediately hold the on/off until you see the  logo. iOS 13. x
