Question

Ok just got my ring security system and set it up so I have time to leave the house so when I open the door alarm goes off am I missing something what did I do wrong ?

You didnt set the Sensor on your front door right or you didnt set an exit delay

Placement must be set as "Main Door"

Go to settings from the main page of the app, select Modes, then Home or Away and set exit delays

Mines does the same. it wasnt like that before. I have to leave the house and arm it on the phone now

It was working perfectly fine. Never changed any settings. Added a few sensors around the other doors and windows might have something to do with it. Thanks will look into it

Make sure you have an exit delay set. 30 seconds or whatever you need. And make sure that the door your entering/exiting from is designated as your main door. You can have multiple main doors. Check your settings.

I've got mine set for 60 secs to leave. I have no clue what anyone is saying by a main door. I tell Alexa I'm leaving and open any of my doors that have senors and close it behind me.
