You can mount it upside down under a cabinet.

@desrosiers I did try that look, and I hated the way the veiw looked. But, thanks. I will be the Guinea pig to see if the camera will have problems. It was only $60, and it covered under the Ring yearly warranty. I do love the indoor camera. Works flawlessly.

It can't damage anything, however you could suffer some connectivity issues.

Microwaves emit RF. It's going to potentially cause conection issues.

If the microwave is off it will be fine, when the microwave is on it will have connection issues as they both operated around the same 2. 4 gigahertz frequency.

Just got a response back from Ring. They have notified me that it is a ok.  They also said that when the microwave is running, it may or may not interfere with my video feed.  Only one way to find out. I popped a bag of popcorn while looking live on the camera. A Ok!

@onitaonlooker5075 No, , , because of all the bullshit Covid19 shit, my son is at home all day alone. He is only 10. I am a single dad and I am essential so I have to be at work. The camera in the kitchen covers the back door. The camera in the living room covers the front door , and the camera in the dining room is where I keep an eye to be sure he doing his school work while we are under this bullshit lock down! Dont want to get a sitter because I trust no one. He has a Rottweiler mix for home defense. I also have the front Ring Pro Door bell, and a spot light camera for the side.

Microwave ovens are known to cause interference with electronic devices. Best to keep it away from it.

Ok! So it's been a week now. I have been using the camera flawlessly on top of the microwave without any interference to the camera or its footage. My son uses that microwave daily and I am able to see live footage and recorded footage of him flawlessly. Also! The camera is backed with a warranty through Ring. It was only a $60 dollar camera! If it takes a shit, , , I'll have it replaced! If Rinf dose not replace it, , , it was only $60 dollars. It will be ok. Just my thoughts, , , I'm giving it a really good testing just to see how the Ring products stand up to being placed right beside a microwave, or in my care directly on top. Good day to everyone! Be sure to panic and bulk everything! Covid free so far. Stay strapped or get clapped
