Question

Ring doorbell (1st generation) has gone black & white permanently! Anyone know how to get colour back?

Maybe just contact ring help. They might be able to tweek some settings

Have you removed the battery waited a few seconds then replaced it?

If you can, and you know which breaker powers that, then shut the breaker off.

Me personally, I would just disconnect one of the posts from the inside, but I wouldn't suggest that, without turning the breaker off which itself can be the reset you need.
