Does anyone know why battery powered products don’t have customisable motion zones?

@dormeuse2 good question, I would wonder if it has to do with any increased battery drain due to searching specific areas instead of a wide area like they currently are? I’d love to see customized zones on my one battery/solar cam.

Same I’ve got a battery spotlight cam connected to solar panel. For some reason although I’ve spent loads of times fiddling with settings, it notifies me about people walking past house. But anyone that comes into my garden it doesn’t notify me about . By setting up motion zones will guarantee I get helpful notifications and recordings.

@dormeuse2 the customised motion zones work using the captured video - in essence, analysing changes in the pictures to detect motion. Battery devices use PIR motion sensors. Thus, for customised motion zones the camera needs to be 'on' all the time to work, whereas for the battery devices the camera is off and the PIR sensor 'wakes up' the camera to record when motion is detected (hence the click). As @pentosan53231 has indicated, having the camera on constantly on a battery device would rinse the battery in hours, hence it is not available currently.
