Would appreciate any help here. Have the ring doorbell 2 and it's been working fine up until a few days ago. Now I'm unable to get a live view. I'm trying this on Windows 10 ring app, Android 10 ring app, and an echo Show 8. The funny aspect to this is I can view motion capture history on Windows and Android, and if the bell is pressed the echo show 8 displays a live view unimpeded. So it's obviously working correctly apart from via the live view option on all devices. I've checked the network and I'm getting speeds of 18mb upwards. The rssi is 43, and device health is good. Battery is at 94%. On Android I'm using the latest app as updated on April 21st. Any ideas folks?
Would appreciate any help here.

Any other issues on your Wi-Fi, like getting dns to resolve? Maybe try setting the router to 8. 8. 8. 8 and 8. 8. 8. 4 and see if that helps.

@desrosiers done that. Everything on the router side checks out. This I think it's related to recent update or is server side.

@kneel it might be, I am apple user and they have changed what happens when you device is tilted and I open cams.

@desrosiers sounds like I might have to raise it as an issue with them.

@kneel get ready for some deep breathes, I bet they have you reset the device and do a crap load of testing.

@desrosiers most likely. I'm very IT literate having spent 30 years in the industry so 1st line support will probably drive me nuts. Lol

@kneel yep, I also bet you $1 once the agent decides he can’t fix it, that he try’s to replace it, if your on that plan.

@desrosiers just to further complicate the situation, I just heard a noise outside and decided to ask Alexa to show the camera. It only went and did it as expected. So now I'm wondering if it needs to detect a motion before it will show live view, or was there a server fault.

@kneel that is different and I had the same issue. is this device on battery? I bet if you ask l2 when they pushed ur firmware the last time, it was when this started happening. Tell them to push it again.

@desrosiers I've just checked it again and now it's not connecting which would indicate if only shows live view when motion is detected. I need to test this further to confirm it. I'll do what you suggest though.

@desrosiers oh, and it's the battery powered device but has a decent transformer fitted which maintains the battery at 100% or near as.

Just tested it again. It's doing live view fine when motion had been detected but not at any other time.

@kneel pull power, delete from the app, factory reset it and add it back. I think that also forces a firmware load.
