You’ll have to make that determination based upon signal levels and your individual performance. No one can really answer that for you. But I would imagine if your mesh system was deployed properly you should be okay without the ring extender.

Alarm runs off ZWave, WiFi has nothing to do with your alarm except the base station (if it’s not hardwired Ethernet).
