Question: SEO and Dynamic PDFs Currently redesigning the UI/UX of a website and I have a few options when it comes to the products PDF brochures which are dynamically generating Trying to figure out what will be best method SEO wise. PDFs are currently generated based on a URL parameter ie ? print=brochure&product=9343. This link with the parameters is then a button link on each product page. Clicking on the link then triggers a download in a new tab Options so far, open to everyone thoughts 1) Leave as is - PDF generated in real time from Parameters 2) Convert the parameters into a full URL string but keeping the dynamic nature ie . /PDF/product-brochure-9343 3) spend a bit of effort/storage and pre-generate all the brochures and serve them as static PDFs from the URL . /PDF/product-brochure-9343. pdf 4) Embed the PDF (one of the options above) into a page using a PDF viewer or iframe. In addition trigger a PDF download once page is fully loaded There is a bit of benefit of this as it will also mean we can track analytics as its with the page, an in theory we could keep the nav header on the page. Unsure how well the embedded PDF will be read (ie dynamic parameters vs full pdf with url path) and if Google would reference the page and/or the source PDF (triggering duplicate content). 5) Other options not yet thought of
