What's a good Architectural speaker for my ceilings and a volume control switch to hook to it?

KEF for speakers, but wall mounted volume controls are a thing of the past. Use a zoned audio matrix out to a multichannel amplifier, or stack a bunch of Sonos amps like most DIY guys (and some pros) do. Then the volume can be adjusted per zone from your control system, or the Sonos app.

Check out Sonance. Lab Gruppen Lucia series have great amps that are Green Energy compliant.
