So my quest continues now in another direction after a lot of faffing about I find that my to link router has a max load of 32 devices and when asking tech help at tp link they said all of Thier VDSL routers are max 32 devices. So those of you with large smart homes what routers are you using ? Needs to be UK fttc compatible please

Keep the router, buy a Unifi Access Point

@shingles can they run the DHCP and then I use the router as a modem

@chop5066 The access points do not do any routing or DHCP. You can use your current modem / router for that which is what I'm doing and will eventually buy a Unifi security gateway / router .

@shingles there lives my problem my router can only handle 32 devices and I have 40 in the house there can o ly be 32 active ip address at anyone time going through the router we have a to link access point coverage is not the issue but device number limitation

@chop5066 ah, I thought it was wireless device limit. That's pretty crappy they limit the number of attached devices to a router, doesn't seem right

Possibly an AX50 might sort it.
