I just got notified by the smart life app that they will no longer be supporting ifttt after may 26. I use several devices that use smart life and I use ifttt to control those via smartthings. Anyone else get this notification? Any other solutions? I really don't want to have to use smart life to control several devices and then use smartthings for the rest.

Yet just one more reason in another post that should exemplify that you should use a locally controlled home automation instead.

No surprise - IFTTT charges thousands of dollars a year for integration. It’s best to use zigbee/zwave devices (protocols made for home automation - Wifi was not) . zigbee/zwave devices have a “local API” that can never be decommissioned! Even if you use a “cloud-central” hub like SmartThings. if ST goes out of business, you can always pair your devices to another hub. you don’t lose your investment.

@unclothe1851 Didn't Phillips just nuke the Hue v1 hubs and make them a paperweight?

@shingles nope- they stopped supporting the hue cloud connection for the v1 hub. It will continue to work locally indefinitely. It has a local API even.

Invest in homeseer or another open source automation.

Node-red and tasmota/esphome should fix that up.

The solution to your issue is Globe Suite. It's like Smart Life in that it works exclusively with Tuya products. But Globe also works natively with SmartThings. I refuse to use IFTTT

I agree with @elene - I'm pretty sure most (perhaps all] Tuya / SmartLife devices are ESP8266-based. Flash them with Tasmota and control them via MQTT using Home Assistant, OpenHab, etc.

@hyperostosis8688 thanks. I'll keep that in mind, if I can't find a simpler solution.
