I would like to have my google assistant say things when triggered events occur. For instance, say "welcome home" when I come through the door. Is this possible? And if it is possible, can you specifically choose what speaker does the talking? Been trying to google this, but my search never brings up any answers. Maybe I am asking the wrong way! Any help or links to help would be greatly appreciated

You need a wife for this. But be careful, as they are usually buggy and tend to change the welcome quote based on if you were cheating on them in their dreams!

One way i did this was using IFTTT, using blue tooth location and my auto door lock, only unlocks when my phone is within range or my fingerprint is used, it will unlock and i set a timer of 20 seconds between that and when google will greet me

@silica what is the purpose of ifttt? Is it just a program?

It allows integrations to talk to each other,

But IFTTT may be something to look into

The play audio node does this on its own. the UI play audio node would do it also.

@teter89 Where would I find these nodes?

You would need to install the dashboard for the one way, but I think you would need to do a search inside the palette editor for the play audio node.
