I have many ceiling lights that I want to pair with a new SmartThings hub. Is it possible to pair them all at the same time or do I have to pair them one by one?

If they are all on the same circuit, just replace you switches with smart switches and leave your bulbs alone. If that's not a possibility and they all have their own switches, youll need to either create and use scenes or virtual switches with smart lighting automations.

Thanks. They are divided onto multiple circuit. I just purchased smart bulbs (i want to be able to control white temperature). They will be grouped into various groups which I will control with smart switches. The problem is it takes ages to pair one and one bulb (I have about 40 total bulbs). I would just want to put them all in pairing mode and have ST pick them all up at once.

@protozoon I would strongly recommend switches when using SmartThings. I’ve had bad luck getting lights to stay paired. I’d probably use Hue for individual bulbs.

They should all be picked up at once and youll have tondo a bunch of on/off cycling to figure out which one is which. That said in that scenario i hope you have a reeeeeeeally good zigbee mesh and reliable bulbs or youre going to be on ladders a lot. ;) Id do switches.
