Which hub do you have specifically?

@broom this one

@ipecac88 That's a V2 hub which doesn't even have wifi.

@unclothe1851 okay. so how do I update it? Everything is offline
by (12.9k points)
@ipecac88 Is it plugged in to an ethernet cable?
by (410 points)
@unclothe1851 I just checked. No, I got a new modem/router and it wasn't connected. Let me hook it up. Thanks.

@unclothe1851 okay so now it shows the hub is online but not the rest. I just installed new batteries on both doors sensors

@ipecac88 How long was the hub offline? If the devices were without batteries for a long time they may need to be reset & repaired.

If your haven’t used it in over a year, all the batteries in the sensors are probably dead

@disencumber yes, I just received news ones and changed them twenty mins ago

Change all battery devices, reset the hub (small pin in the back), re-enter the code found in your box. Start all over.

I don't think you need to update or set the wifi network IIRC. Do you have anything that's not battery operated in your devices? Most/all of your battery operated devices may be dead after a year.

@hague okay so I couldn't get the door sensor to work even though the light would blink every time I opened the door. So I removed it and I scanned for it and renamed it and it's working now! Thank you so very much!

@ipecac88 nice! Now you can set up some automations

@hague siiiiiiiiiiii. I also connected the Harmony hub! Yay me!

@ipecac88 you're rolling now!

This might be obvious, but the kitchen lights are actually turned on at the switch right? Otherwise they can't connect.

Next week we will update the Smarthings skills, status update and all sensors will be added too. If someone has interest to test and have new version before, you can send a message here and our developer Боряна Василева will contact him or her.
The SmartThings Group is where you can always find questions, answers, advice, reviews & recommendations from other community members about home automation with the Samsung SmartThings hub.
