Um, how am I supposed to remove a faulty Z-wave device that won't power on to send a signal in exclusion mode?

If you are replacing it with a new item, simply use replace zwave device in the ST app. It will also not force remove the device from automations/routines/scenes/WebCoRE. Which saves you time and the headache of fixing all your automations!

@cyprinoid where is this option?

@talton26 in the classic app, select the device, then select the cog upper right corner for settings. At the very bottom it should have two red buttons Replace and Remove. Removing it will completely remove it, replacing will attempt to reconnect to the current device, And when it can’t connect you then pair the replacement device as if you are pair it anew. Only zwave will have this option though, will not show up for zigbee.

@cyprinoid ahh thanks. I was looking in the new app. I was looking for a way to update the firmware on some z-wave devices without having to reconnect them as new devices. It looks like this may be a way to do it. Thanks!
