I've got some smart bulbs, a smart outlet, some contact sensors and some buttons connected. When trying to control any of these devices via the smartthings classic app or the new app or via Google Assistant the devices don't want to respond. Lighting automations only halfway work. Nothing has changed in the network for at least a month other than the wife and kids using the dumb switch on the wall to turn off the 4 smart bulbs in the ceiling fan which I have them almost broke of. I've used the Z-Wave repair in the SmartThings app. It takes about 2 seconds to execute and nothing seems to change. I've also rebooted the hub by pulling the power cable and batteries. Any ideas as to what's wrong?

Are the smart bulbs ZigBee or Z-Wave or WiFi?

@chandler Z-Wave The only Wi-Fi smart device I have is a Belkin wemo switch which oddly enough works better than anything else at the moment.

@sixpack I don't know. I have some Crees and Sylvania bulbs. My house is 1k square feet. The hub is close to a central location.

@sixpack This smart home stuff seems more bachelor pad friendly. To try and get the wife, a 11yo & a 5yo on board.  I do like the light switch cover! I like smart switches overbsmart bulbs but I live in a house with pre-1980s wiring so that's not always possible on my budget.

I had it sitting on top of the Blu-ray player. I moved it beside it and it works fine now.

First use clear tape to stop the switch from getting turned off, then rebuild the Zigbee mesh. Remove all power from the hub for at least 15 minutes. Plug it back in and give it a bit to rebuild.
