My 6 Series shows up as a device so I would assume a 7 series does.

Yes it will, it just won't have the smartthings dashboard as a app on the tv to control other devices.

Also, it's pretty limited functionality. Nothing that great unless you really would like the on/off function.

Integrating Logitech Harmony into Smartthings works better and gives a lot more functionality.
