So the ST Hub with WiFi is as good as the ST Hub right? Anyone had any issues with the ST Hub with WiFi? Hate having different devices for WiFi and separate hubs.

ST hub with WiFI has nothing to do with separate hubs.

Samsung has a ST hub with built in WiFi into 1 device. This eliminates the need for a WiFi router.

Personally I'll never get one of those. It's OK as a wifi router but there's better out there. The biggest problem is when WiFi tech invariably moves on (we're on the virge of widespread WiFi 6, in fact) then you now have an obsolete router. Great, you think, I'll just migrate to a new device. There is no way to migrate to a new ST hub at the present time.

Have ST mesh WiFi/Hub, no issues, good WiFi coverage in my 3000 square foot house, hub works great for my needs. Lutron and a few TP Link switches, Phillips HUE lights, August lock, Arlo Pro cameras.

I would never use it as my main router, but it would be very handy to keep your wifi IOT devices separated for that extra layer of security.

Myth confirmed, or busted? Since I started my smart home, many years ago, I've always stayed away from Zigbee because of the wifi interference issues it supposedly has (which makes sense considering it is on the same frequency).

I need to totally wipe my SmartThings hub and all the settings on the web - I upgraded my wifi Honeywell thermostats to T10s and can't delete the old ones, and my Harmony Hub integration, Alexa integration and Sonos Integrations stopped behaving nicely a couple of months ago, so its time for a clean...

So if my SmartThings buttons are local and the controlled devices are local and the SmartThings hub is set to allow local control, why don't the buttons work when the Samsung servers are down?
