Does using local storage aka usb or hard drive increase load time on viewing videos?

No, but it means you have the video forever on a local drive and just in a cloud

Since newer model base units do allow for playback of local storage, there may be a difference in video access time. I have local storage but no playback from Arlo app on my model.

@autobiography6 VMB4000. I bought a 2 camera package from Amazon in November. It may be a lower end unit as the cameras are just the Pro units. Im up to 5 cameras but does what I need well
