Question

I’m trying to find a way to have a specific Hue light change color in the morning if my commute to work is going to take longer than a certain amount of time. Any ideas on how to do this? Using IFTTT? I leave early in the morning so asking Alexa or Google how long my commute will be will wake up the wife or dogs which, in turn, will wake up the wife.

Have you got Alexa's whisper mode enabled?

I would look into using time to leave notifications from Google as a trigger. Though that would require setting up each day's work arrival as an event.
