Do you have the Smartthings Skill enabled on your Alexa App?

Disable the Smartthings skill and enable it back in the Alexa App. It will take you to the Smartthings Authorization log-in page. Log in and Authorize all your devices again. Once completed the Alexa will go in discovery mode. See if that helps.

What model is it, and did you already link your smartthings skill connected in Alexa app?

If it is discovered by Smartthings, the model should not matter.

When you say communicates with smartthings, you mean that you can make it do things or you were able to add it to smartthings?
