Anyone here have the Osram Lightify gardenspots? I'm trying to find out exact lengths to plan out my lighting. I bought 2 kits because I need a total of 28 feet. but I need to split the two sections. basically I need 14 feet, then I need to run under sidewalk, then I need another 14 feet. I read somewhere that the wire before the first light is pretty long, but I don't know if that is included in the 14 feet.

You would have to use 2 controller's more than likely

If that's the case, I'd just have to do some sort of custom splice and make up my own extension. I'm only going to be able to get power to the one end.

@clown just run your power supply under at the beginning of your run. the wires are fairly small.

I guess I'll have to lay it all out when they come in and figure it out then.

@clown you won't be dissatisfied, I love mine.

It's very long, I have 3 sets. Can't say for sure the exact length, but it's a fair amount. the 14 feet is the light length.

@dehisce66 Awesome, so I shouldn't have a problem ending a 14 foot run then running them under aprox 3' of sidewalk before the second run of lights start?

Absolutely not.

I know there is a lot of wire from the controller to the first strand of lights. but I plan to connect 2 strands directly to each other and I'm hoping I have at least 3 feet between the two.

Ok, if your using only one controller, I'd have to check. That may change. There's like 3 section they come in. The 120 volt cord, controller, and light string. I'm thinking they made it spaced out just right you can connect 2 14 foot runs together without any spacing gaps, meaning about 18 inches.

Anyone have photos of these lights in use? Curious to see them in the real world.

I wonder if "spare lights" can be removed easily. If the cable is continuous and the lights are attached with little teeth that bite into the cable I could buy a 4' extension and break the the lights and remove them, and just use it as an extension cable.
