Question

I’m wanting to book a holiday for probably next August (but open to all school holidays) for myself & my daughter, she’ll be 14 by then. We like the sun but not overly extreme heat, we like shops and places to eat & a beach. We’re not overly outgoing and I’ll be nervous with it being just us and the responsibility of providing a fab experience falls on me (not an experienced traveller. ) Id prefer to fly from Bristol, or Birmingham at a push. Any recommendations from single parents with a teenager in tow please?

Antalya is wonderful and I felt super safe there x

Fuerteventura is very nice, we got to Costa Caleta and have been a few times. Natural rocky beaches and man made sandy beaches. There’s quite a big shopping center within walking distance along the beach front ☺️

Tsilivi on Zakynthos  safe, friendly xxx Christys beach villas are my fave xx

Palma Nova . Short flight, short transfer, loads of lovely restaurants and family bars to choose from, 3 big beautiful beaches. Really family orientated. Aquasol, Cas Sabones, Rosa Del Mar, Alua PalmaNova Bay, Sol Palma Nova are all really good hotels for teenagers with plenty of activities round the pool and on a night. If you've got a bit of a bigger budget then the Zafiro hotels are amazing.

I was a single parent when my daughter was 8 for 2 years and I took her to Palms Nova in Majorca and we loved it. I also took her to Disneyland Paris. We also love Portaventura in Salou as we love theme parks x
