My balance for my holiday is due on Saturday. I plan to pay it because I don’t want to loose my deposit. I’ve got insurance, ABTA and ATOL, but I thought for triple protection, I’d pay on my credit card. But does anyone know how it works, if my credit card company refunded me in the worst case, how I would transfer that money to my normal bank account? Is there a charge if your in credit, rather than being minus if that makes sense, I’ve never had refunds through my credit card before so have no idea how it works haha

I got refunded for a holiday at the beginning on the year and it just made it a plus so I used my credit card to pay for stuff until it was back to zero instead

If i get credit on my credit card i just spend it rather than use bank card. It costs to take cash out of a credit card

When Thomas cook refunded us, although I paid on a credit card I was given the choice of account for the refund to go in.

Just set up your credit card with paypal and pay it in and transfer it to yourself!

Just ring your credit card company and they will transfer it to your account. Obviously if you owe them they will deduct it from your refund. That has just happened to me. It wasn’t a problem. X

If the credit card company refund you and you are in credit on your credit card AlWAYS ring them and ask for a credit balance refund. No credit card charges for this as they are taking the credit off your account and putting it to your own current account. If the credit card company refund you and it clear a your balance. so your card is at a nil balance, or you have money owing then you can't get the money refunded to your current account as there is nothing to refund with a nil balance or if. you. owe them still.
