Has anyone done the sun holidays before? If so is it straight forward or a hassle?

@trapes you don’t  just google the sun holidays codes when they’ve come out and they are online. They work, I booked a butlins just for tots with them this year. You do however need to buy the sun paper for the free tickets to days out.  x

It’s easy to do, but we have found quite a few times it’s been cheaper to go direct through caravan park. I know it’s not the case for everyone but by the time you pay passes, service charge etc it is worth weighing up both options

@pointing6 I agree I did it through the caravan park and my friend did sun and I got mine same price if not cheaper

@pointing6 I saved over £120 going through haven themselves, And the passes were free

I have in the past when kids were small. Went to the haven parks. Just the basic caravan because we were hardly in it. Pre book the activities for the kids though.

Yes, fairly cheap, accomodation varies, but if it's just somewhere to sleep, its not an issue. Have reasonable expectations of getting what you pay for and it's totally worth doing.

I think they are great I have had several but just be aware the price goes up quite a lot when you add nightly service charge, entertainment passes and bedding if you require it

We have in the past but prefer to use our own. As the mum of an autistic adult it’s much easier with our own caravan.

Try to get the ones with free passes, the best site's you usually have to pay for. We've done the Eurocamp ones and they were brilliant

We have done one most years for the last 6 years as a couple and now as a family of 4 and can't rate them enough. Most of the time when you add daily utility charge, entertainment passes and any upgrades it's cost us upto £80 which is still cheaper than going direct (we paid this for Dorset last year and a friend who was on the same section of the site paid over £300 direct) I booked a week in April this year (booked last Oct) and managed to get free service charge/ents passes for us all for the week and didn't bother upgrading and have paid £40. 80.

We have done them quite a few times, even went to Butlin Skegness (got upgraded free both times) you pay for how many people are going when you book then the park invoices you for the rest which is payable I think 10 weeks before your holiday x

We've done it for years now and they're a fab cheap break away. Look out for oay only £9. 50 and just take your own bedding/sleeping bags.
