I dont track avocado for this reason. Healthy fats. Plus the point system for them is crazy. My "1/2" avocado logs as 5 points. When I weigh it on a scale and enter it in grams, it drops to maybe 1-2 points.

try entering it as a manual add using the macros and it is way less. ♀️ probably has something to do with the fiber

Depends on the plan- not on green- but you get the extra points to work them in

Zero point foods that are high in calories are a recipe for failure. You can still eat fat just need to use points. You have more points with green and can work them in easily.

Agree, you have points use them. We do not need to let points scare us. When I started WW there were very few zero point foods so I learned to budget my points and plan ahead. I understand WW is trying to steer us in a healthy direction with zero point foods but at the same time I personally think we are not educating ourselves to make better choices on our own. Zero is very confusing to some, you cannot just eat and eat and eat those foods.

It's hard for me to basically use my whole days points to eat an avocado!

They are trying to help you limit your fats (healthy fats as well) Learning to portion them throughout your day and to not over eat them. Over eating even healthy fats would not work for you losing weight (or other health reasons) which is why they are point valued.

No. Use your daily SP budget for healthy fats. Measure and enjoy.
