Starving at 2:30 am.  ate a bowl of cereal to combat it.Starving at 2:30 am. ate a bowl of cereal to combat it. 9 points used for the new day already. I totally messed up after doing good all week. I know we have the bonus points and I haven't used them this week. If we dip into them every week or weekend will that slow down the weight loss? I feel like I am starving a lot.

Grab a protein drink instead, I drink Premier Protein for 2 points for breakfast and sometimes don't get hungry for lunch until 2 or 3 in the afternoon! Works great to curb the evening hunger pains too! P. S Don't beat yourself up over one bowl of cereal. We all get hungry! <3

2 A. M. hunger is an also mean not eating enough for dinner. That is usually why you wake up hungry. I usually do a lighr snack before bed, if I don't my blood sugar drops and I wake up hungry. I find I cannot fall back asleep until after I have eaten something to balance me out.

WW considers a healthy range to be between so many under to so many over your dailies (depending on your plan) so the are there to be used. I have used all of mine the last 3 weeks and have lost 11. 6#

Don’t let one meal/snack throw you. Perhaps exercise a little bit today and utilize some 0 point meals. If you are hungry a lot it probably means you need more protein.

Make sure you are getting enough protein and good fats each day. They help keep hunger at bay.
by (2.1k points)
@excrescent E Souther what are good fats
by (4.4k points)
@rutherford good fats are olives, avocado, nuts. Just watch portion size. I find a little good healthy fat helps my cravings. I keep the little individual portion size of Wholly guacamole on hand to dip vegetables

@fields that’s a good idea thanks

Do you shape them @darin?
by (630 points)
@mercola No I just put them in a 9x 13 pan to bake. Easy. Add anything you want for fruit.

Thank you @darin!

No they will not slow your weight loss. That’s what they are for. I use some of mine every week and sometimes I use them all

No! Use them! Enjoy them. I did and I lost my weight. I am at goal now and still using them.

I always keep a premier protein by my bed. 30 grams of protein, 2 points and I don’t need to leave my bed
by (1.6k points)
@pantagruel that or a Muscle Milk 2SP. Protein makes one feel full longer!
by (11.4k points)
@indubitability yes, I usually have both on hand. I get the one that is the cheapest
by (330 points)
@pantagruel example please? Premier protein.

If you are hungry then you need to eat. On my Exercise days I eat more and I usually have to dip into my weekly. If I don’t, then in the evening I am starving and I make poor chooses. I find when I eat a little extra protein and some healthy fat earlier in the day it controls those hunger spikes that hit later.

I’ve been in the negatives with my weeklies and have lost. Everyone will give their own opinion but I firmly believe that it depends on your own metabolism. If I only eat my daily points and nothing extra, I do NOT lose. This may not work for someone else. Sometimes you have to play around with your points to see what’s the best strategy for YOU!

When I get really hungry I grab a piece of sugar free gum. If that doesn’t work I grab a banana. You will get hungry I know I do but you can do this. We didn’t gain this weight over night and we won’t lose it over night but with all of this support we will lose this. Keep going

Use your weeklies, they are NOT bonus points! They are there to use if you want. I use mine as necessary. Additionally, you could have eaten zero point foods instead of cereal.
by (13.9k points)
@seel7661 exactly. Eat more protein and veggies and less carbs and fruit

Are you in the first week or 2 of the program? I think it’s pretty common to feel somewhat hungry as you are eating less than before WW. It takes time to adjust. It’s tough for sure. What will happen over time is that you pick the right combinations of foods so that you don’t feel starved. Carbs make me feel hungry again in a short period of time so I avoid those items. You will work out what works for you. Be patient with yourself.

I honestly try not to eat cereal because it's so many points but I have been known to sit in a dark living room at 2am and eat a banana. That being said I lose better when I eat most if not all of my weeklies.

Eat more protein. Cereal turns to sugar and makes you hungrier.

First thing, fuel your hunger, learning what choices to make is hard and difficult at first, review your meal planning and combine ZeroPoint food with fat and carbohydrates, same with a snack so that next time you will make better choices and yes be satisfied and stay within daily allowance. Hang in there, its will get better as you learned to make better choices.

My favorite is Muscle Milk (MM) chocolate. The Premier Protein is not as tasty, IMHO. I like the MM vanilla too.

“Yes” to sometimes using extra points. I went extreme and didn’t use any. I achieved my goal quickly, but because it’s not real life, I quickly gained most of it back. Slow and steady weight loss with enjoyable meals along the way is the only way to having weight loss be sustainable!

If you’re on blue or purple, get a Dash egg cooker (or your air fryer) and cook a lot of hard boiled eggs, plunge them in ice water after cooking so she’ll comes off almost in one piece. Great to get the hard boiled egg slicer thingy and put a nice cleanly sliced hard boiled egg on top of a salad! Zero points on purple or blue plans, protein keeps you full.

Look at WW people on Utube! One WW leader called “prepwhisperer” shows what food/what store she buys the food and shows you step by step how she preps it all for the week!

I eat 16 little pillows of Kashi Cinnamon cereal with a container of yogurt and a few fresh berries. The cereal is 2 points. If I am extremely hungry I eat a little more. It’s whole grain healthy cereal. Satisfying

I did the same thing last night at midnight. I was too hungry to sleep. I had a sugary breakfast that morning (went out for Valentine's Day) and that set me up for hunger all day. I am better off staying away from sugar. Best of luck to you.

You're hungry a lot because you're spiking your insulin up by eating things like "cereal". Stick with protein when you are hungry.

I used all of my extra points every week and still lost fifteen lbs my first month (then I got pregnant and stopped. Can’t wait to pick back up after I have this baby! ) don’t beat yourself up over mistakes. Learn from them and do better and take it as a lesson and move forward! If you beat yourself up eventually you might just give up.
