I just switched from green to purple. If chicken is free, why is it when I scan precooked chicken it scans for 2pts?

Precooked how? They could cook it in oil, or add different ingredients that may bring the points up

What type of precooked is it? If it is made with any type of sauce or shows sugar in the ingredients will make a difference to the points.

It either contains rib meat--or other things in the packaging to add pts

Cooked in oil?

My WW leader told me it has to say 97% fat free on the package, otherwise you have to count the points.

Chicken breast without skin is zero.

@phototypography9523 but I don’t believe that on all plans.

Don’t scan it

You have to scan if you don't read the label. Is it white meat only? Is it cooked in oil or added ingredients that have points? You can't assume it is white meat 0 points only.

Did you check your plan to make sure it is free? I believe on one plan it does count? I might be wrong? On blue plan it doesn’t count but I thought I seen on one of the plans it does count?

Don’t scan free foods. Lean skinless poultry is zero. Make sure it’s not cooked in oil.

Only skinless chicken breast is free

Yes, you can scan it ~ the barcode scanner is correct (they may be confused because the calculator [different tool] doesn’t work on chicken). If your barcode scanner says it has points, look at the “ingredients”. That will let you know why it has points. Skin? Added oil? Seasoning?

I'm liking purple! More food I like and feel satisfied

Read the ingredients. Chicken is only zero points if it’s boneless skinless breast. One ingredient.

Chicken on green is 2 points and so are eggs. But your overall daily points are higher and there's only 100 free or 0 points foods.

I eat a lot of chicken on purple and am losing weight! So chicken is zero on purple. I always track my zero point foods and weigh it to make sure I am not eating too many calories.
