I’m struggling.  I joined 11/18 and have only lost about 5 pounds.I’m struggling. I joined 11/18 and have only lost about 5 pounds. I know we had thanksgiving and Christmas right after I joined, so those were a challenge. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, put on high dose steroid and some other crazy meds, which make you hungry, which made me gain 20 pounds right before i joined! It’s just not coming of quickly. Anyone else have a slow start? (Anniversary trip right before my health went downhill)

My weight comes off very slowly also. Just be sure to use your tracker! Best of luck!

WW is not a speedy process. You have to work the program. You can do this.

In the beginning i lost only OUNCES a week for the first 6 or 8 weeks! But i felt it was losing & not gaining. It is now about 15 months later and I've lost 33 lbs. I was patient and it paid off. Dont give up!

Steroids raise your blood sugar and make you gain weight. I have been dealing with this the last two years. I’m finally off of them and starting to lose again. Don’t be discouraged. Just do he best you can to be healthy.

Not really a slow start, but being bi-polar, depressed and anxious will kill it. Besides side-effects of the meds (thankfully mine didn’t cause a significant amount of weight gain), the OTHER side effect of emotional eating kicks in right after the holidays. It also kicks in at other random times, and can really set me back. I just have to remember that it wasn’t just one bad day (or month, in my case) that brought me to where I am. Plus, even if the weightloss is stalled, I’m at least getting better foods in my body. :-)

I did Auto Immune Paleo (AIP) for a few months and very quickly lost 30lbs but it's very time consuming and can get expensive. I got pregnant and stopped but I still try to avoid super inflammatory foods as much as possible

I have to take a replacement dose of steroids daily in addition to other issues. Endocrinologist was unsure if I would ever be able to lose weight but with WW I have lost 7. 7 lbs. since Jan. 2nd!

Steroids alone will go against you I have asthma bad and periodically I have to take steroids. My appetite goes haywire and causes me to retain fluid. Your doing great loosing any amount of weight on steroids. Great work. Congratulations

Don’t expect quick. To me, that’s what sets you up for failure. This is a journey, not a race.

Steroids are not helpful when you are trying to lose weight. That being said don’t quit. A balanced healthy diet is helpful in auto immune diseases and won’t hurt you
