Gained 1.  5 lbs staying within my points and not using weeklies, rollovers or fit points and eating 90-100% of my dailies.Gained 1. 5 lbs staying within my points and not using weeklies, rollovers or fit points and eating 90-100% of my dailies. Went from losing 3. 5 lbs a week for the last 3 weeks to gaining a pound and a half. Drank all my water this weekend and still doing intermittent fasting. As well as walking 6 miles a week. Just to be sure I wasn't under estimating, I added up my calories on my two "worst" eating days in my opinion. Including zero point foods, I didn't go over 1000 calories a day! I understand a plateau, but a pound and a half gain? Thoughts?

Eat more lean protein and vegetables
by (2.9k points)
@tighten yes, the combination of lean protein and vegetables will equal weight loss. Up those calories, 1000 per day is too low.

I’ve had the same thing happen to me but the following week was a greater loss. 1. 5 lbs can be water or ‍♀️

I gain weight just around my period. It could be you ate lots of salt and retained water. Check next week. It happened to me and it’s corrected. My body is a yo-yo so I lose a few pounds and it goes back up and repeat until the lower number just sticks. Same thing happens when I gain weight.

It will show up next week. Remember your body doesn’t know it’s weighin day!

@sauers exactly. Good luck this week. Could be salt for the gain. Think positive you got this

Don’t UNDER EAT your dailies. Your body will hold on to “weight” if it thinks you’re “starving”. TRUST ME. LESS is not more. Just be patient and don’t ever ever ever quit! Up the mountain, down the mountain back up again. It’s a journey. Not a race . I’m lifetime member 20 YEARS

After the initial few weeks, if you are more active. you might need to start eating some of fit points. I know I never lose without eating them.
by (480 points)
@antemundane I lost 48 lbs on ww and HAD to eat those points. I’m not super active but active enough that my body would hold onto everything when I didn’t. I also need to eat some of my weeklies too. You just have to learn to listen to your body.
by (480 points)
@antemundane thank you! I gained a lot back after a bad divorce but back on track now.

It’s probably just a thing. Your weight is gonna fluctuate. But also under 1000 calories seems too low

Maybe water retention from salty food?

Could be hormones.

Could be hormones like others have mentioned. Could be salt intake causing water rention. Even on a low calorie diet, if your salt intake is high you could still gain weight from water retention. It could also be muscle gain. If you’re walking 6 miles a week and this is new, you may be gaining muscles in your legs and butt! As others mentioned, definitely keep track of your measurements as well as the scale. Sometimes my scale will go up and my waist measurements will stay the same but I notice a decrease in my thighs or arms or boobs.

It’s the you’re not eating enough so you gained speech! You are dieting so hard! Use your weeklies, use your fit points. Your body needs fuel. Stop counting calories and trust the program. This is a way of life, you can’t sustain on 1000 calories a day! Don’t beat yourself up, Ww works if you trust. I’ve been there, it’s the if I don’t eat I can lose so much more! There’s light at the end of the tunnel, this journey is learning what works for you. Just try one week of eating your weeklies. What will it hurt? You’ve already proved to yourself that eating less makes you gain. Good luck on your journey! You can do it!

@sauers Have you tried the Wendy program for Ww? It’s a way of eating your points that seem to work for some

Once in a while our bodies become smaller in inches but does not show up on the scales. Not fun-but do you notice your clothing is looser ?

You should not be counting calories. There is a reason that most nutritious say not to go below 1200 calories in a week. If you calorie restrict you will not lose at. Been there done that.

1000 calories a day seems quite low, unless you are extremely small and very sedentary. I would try having 1-2 higher point days where you eat some weeklies. So if you get 23 points a day. Maybe pick a day or two where you go up to 30-35 points. Having a few days where I eat more points helps me lose better than eating the same points each day. But honestly a 1. 5 lb gain one week could just be a fluke - sodium, hormones, bathroom issues. id guve it another week or so to see what happens before you go too crazy trying to figure it out.

First, you won’t lose every week. You will have weeks with losses, stability and gains. Yes gains. This is 1000% normal. Also try eating your weekly points. Experiment with them. I personally found that when I ate half to all my weeklies I had better success in my losses as well as not feeling deprived.

Agreed. Not eating nearly enough and cut back walking to four miles a day. Have your sleep patterns changed or have you been traveling? Recovery is as important as food and movement.

You had a few weeks with huge losses and now your body can pause while it rearranges your fat deposits. Look into your measurements while this occurs. You often lose inches. Taking your focus off weekly numbers and looking at how you do monthly will save a bit of worry.

I agree check your size and inches! Your body needs to catch up with your weight lost. I did the same and now I am losing again!
