Anyone with PCOS have success? My OBGYN would like me to lose 50 pounds before she would feel comfortable putting me on fertility drugs. I have lost about 7. 5 pounds after giving up regular soda and watching my portions and following the green plan. Now the scale won’t move!

Not WW related but I have PCOS too. Was told I was never going to be able to get pregnant in my 20s. Here i am about to be 39 with a 7 month old baby boy who was a totally unexpected miracle. Just wanted you to know that when your time comes, it will happen ♡

@conway I went to the ER thinking I was having another cramping episode due to PCOS. got out of there in shock when they told me I was 6 weeks pregnat

@nissa what a blessing. Mine took 7 rounds of iuis with clomid and 4 rounds of ivf.

@conway I had given up on having a baby a long time ago so it was a total shock. But the universe had other plans and it was/is the best gift i have ever received

Yes! I’ve lost 16 since January 6. I struggle badly with PCOS, and nothing else has helped! I really lost the first month, but this month has been a struggle.

I’ve lost 35 lbs. Since sept 2019. It’s not fast, but is coming off
by (4.8k points)
@corticosteroid I wish it was faster but I’m happy I’m losing!
by (4.8k points)
@corticosteroid I also try to remember that losing it at a slow healthy rate will help keep the weight off! I’m learning to eat healthy and change my relationship with food and exercise.

My endocrinologist put me on metformin and that did the trick. Currently 23 weeks

Ask your ob if they will allow you to take metformin. It helps insulin resistance and weight loss

Yes! I have PCOS and have been a Lifetime member since 2003! I took Clomid and Metformin and have had two successful pregnancies. I did WW before and after babies (now 10 and 15) and it works once you find your rhythm. I do blue, and sometimes it helps get the scale moving if you do intermittent fasting for a week or so at a time while still counting your points. Feel free to send me a private message.

I have PCOS. My OB has me do Keto. Currently lost 60 lbs. I’m Not trying to get pregnant though.
by (4.8k points)
@aikido curious why you’re in a weight watchers site when you’re doing keto. And I mean no ill will. I’m genuinely curious!
by (1.1k points)
@conway I was on WW a while ago and never broke up with the groups. I always viewed keto as a temporary thing and figured I’d go back to it at some point. I’ve had so much success on keto I just haven’t found my way back to WW yet.

Keep it up! I lost 20 lbs, got put on Metformin and now have a two year old. We are starting up the drugs soon for baby #2 . Be an advocate for yourself. Find a doctor that will listen. My previous one would do NOTHING for me. Told me it wasn’t possible.

Less processed food seems to help it come off quicker and exercise. WW will work PCOS it just takes more time. Stick w it! My first baby took fertility drugs and a few years and the second baby was a surprise! Yay for two under two for awhile there. You got this!

I have PCOS and I had great success on the green plan. The one thing I noticed is if I had a week that I ate a lot of carbs I would feel bloated or gain that week. Just be careful with your carb intake. After I lost some weight I found out I was pregnant without any fertility drugs.

Try upping your water and protein intakes. Lower your carbs (don't eliminate them completely). You got this!

I have PCOS. Have lost pretty consistantly, however don't get discouraged because for no reason at all I'll have a 2lb gain, but if I stick with it, that plus more will come off in a few days. My son is 15 months old, IVF. Perfect little thing and all I can say is that it's 100% worth it. Also, I'd seek a second opinion about waiting for weight loss. My doc says aging eggs are much more of a problem than obesity ‍♀️

Be cautious with Metformin it can be very bad if you have stomach issues it will exasperated it and on my case caused IBS. Have you been considered for lazer treatment to disperse the covered overies as this worked for my sister. I had all, three children with no issues my PCOs was discovered afterwards.

I have PCOs and it has taken 2 years to lose 100lbs without pills. I find sugar really stalls my loss. I have now added exercises and it is also not helping :(

Look into a local optiva rep. It was amazing! I've learned a lot and kept it off for a year and counting. You can do it.

I did this in the past. Lost 80 lbs and got off metformin. I got pregnant in under 2 months after that. I've also got my hormones back under control again now and I've lost 65 lbs since October 15th using WW on the blue plan. I've done keto before and it's a fast fix but don't bother if you aren't willing to do it for life. The moment I added back in oatmeal and fruit I gained it all back and more

I don’t have PCOS. But I did have fertility issues. Lost 20 pounds and tried 3 rounds of Clomid, which resulted in a pregnancy  I’m currently 5 months pregnant! Feel free to pm me if you have any questions. I know the process can be overwhelming. Good luck!

I have PCOS. At my heaviest I was 203 (I'm only 5'4"). I lost 50 lbs, started ovulating on my own again, and we were able to get pregnant with no assistance! I'm on the purple plan and really like the options.

Yes! I am actually seeing weight loss with this program. I was diagnosed 12 years ago and I have tried everything. Some stuff have me quick results but nothing that lasted. I will say that any time I lost 40 pounds or so, I would get pregnant. Your hormones might straighten out enough without the fertility drugs. Good luck to you!

I have to stay near bathroom  I hope we achieve success ❤️ 50 lbs is what I want to lose also and they told me if I lose weight it’ll help things

Go to an endocrinologist. They specialize is PCOS. I was put on metformin, lost weight, PCOS symptoms disappeared and Bam. got pregnant. Currently pregnant with my second. No longer have PCOS symptoms. It took an endocrinologist to help me. My OBGYN that specialized in PCOS couldn’t even help me.

Check into adding Moringa to your diet. It helps female problems as well as other stuff. Its amazing! Has changed my life. Its all vitiamins. So good for you. All illnesses and problems are linked to vitiamin defencies.

I have had PCOS for 12 years now! After ten pounds the scale freezes for me too. What I have found is eating two servings of fruit a day and zero point foods are you best best friend! Also, it is so important to find sweet treats while you’re doing this, halo ice cream is three points for half a cup and that does the trick! It is finding something that makes you feel like you’re cheating but u aren’t ! I make myself move thirty minutes everyday to get a raised heart rate. With us it’s super important to include movement since it is so hard for us to lose ! PCOS makes it challenging but it makes you feel that much better about when you lose it ! (:
