Does anyone else have two scales that give you different weigh ins? I’m so confused. Per my sisters scale that she just put new batteries in, I’m at my goal weight. Which is unbelievable to me because per scale two, I had seven pounds to go as of last week. I don’t know which one to go off of.

Go with the one that you did your original weigh in, and that you've been weighing in on all along

I only weigh on one scale at the same time and the same clothes. It is the only way for me to stay sane.

They are all different. Pick one and stick with it. Scales beed to be recalibrated periodically including the doctor's. No one pays to have a home scale checked and I am sure some doctors don't either.

The scales at the studio that I go to (when we can) to weigh-in give different weights, too. Just stick with one.

When I was weighing in on-site my scales the WW scales were 5 lbs heavier than mine at home indicated. I recently bought a Withings scale and it is also 5 pounds higher than my old scale. And it sync to the WW app. So I’m going by it. BTW my doctors scale agreed with the WW workshop scale at my last checkup when I went straight from the meeting to the doc.

Stick with whichever scale you have been using.

I can relate- I’ve moved in with my mom to help during the pandemic, and her scale was 5 lbs lighter than the WW scale. I haven’t claimed it- I’ll have to go back to meetings at some point!

You may want to weigh a bag of dog food, flour, something of substantial weight, and calibrate your scale.

@kresic2138 Bullock Great idea!

@kresic2138 Bullock I was just going to say that. I remember my mom back in the 80’s doing this with a bag of C&H Sugar

Use the same scale you always weigh yourself on.

Are they both on hard wood or tile/linoleum surfaces? carpet can make it off. And I agree; go with one and stick to it. Had you weighed in at a meeting prior to Covid? Is it possible you have lost? That's such a big difference.

@endocrinotherapy702 yes even if mine is on the tile grout and not complete flat it causes a 1lb difference

Ck the accuracy of each scale with a 10 lb weight.

I think you would go by the one you weigh on every week. good luck. Or weigh at your sisters every week. Ha Ha.

Throw a 5lb bag of flour on and see which one is right

There you go, good idea

My WW scale would not weigh a weight, only human weight.

@unbar396 hold the 5lb bag on the scale and then hold it without

No scale at the moment, I sent it back, waiting for a new one. Thanks. And if it was weighing differently in two locations, it would most likely still weigh differently.

My WW scale was doing that. I have two places without carpet. It started to weigh quite differently in these two places. Bought new batteries, same problem. I could lose 10 lbs just by moving the scale! I called Conair, they approved sending it back and are sending me a new one. Meanwhile, I have no idea what I weigh and maybe I am better off! This has happened many times in my life with scales. the best are the old fashioned type with weights. Hard to find.

My usual scale (the heavier reading) is the most accurate. It’s off by . 8 after putting two five pound dumbbells on it. Going to stick with that scale! Thanks everyone!

Calibrate it. Check it using hand weights.

Mine is usually only off 1/2 lb. I say go with the lower weight lol

Use only one scale to weigh on. There will be a difference between scales so it’s a mute point to weigh on more than one

All scales weigh differently. Stick to the scale you have always used.

All scales are different. Sadly there isn’t a universal scale calibration force. Just go with the one you usually use

Pick one and stick with it. Don’t weigh yourself on any other scale.

That's frustrating. I weighed the same fully clothed on the doctor's scale as I did with no clothes on my home scale the same morning. Now I want a new scale.

If a scale has been moved it can affect the weight. It needs to be recalibrated. You can do that by taking 3 weighs in a row on most scales. There are so many things that can affect the weigh in like the weather etc. I agree with @mnemonic though and weigh in on the same scale.

I have a scale that gives me different weights, so I step on it a few times and go with the weight that is repeated a few times. It might need a new battery, but I just changed them , so who knows. Lol
