Hi everyone.  I’ve been debating all day on posting this.Hi everyone. I’ve been debating all day on posting this. I started WW at the beginning of February. I weigh myself every Sunday morning. Start 224. 8 -> 223. 8 -> 224. 8 -> 223. 6 today it’s back to 224. 8 ☹️ I don’t understand. I’m on the blue plan. I rarely go over my daily points. If I do, it’s maybe 8-10 points over. I do Zumba about 2x/week and some type of cardio another night. I try to drink a lot of water and have cut way back on my sweet cravings. I’m getting married in October and starting to get very discouraged and frustrated. Is it possible that I truly haven’t lost anything? Could it be an issue with my scale? Looking for support and recommendations. Thanks

It's going really slow for me too, but I cheat here and there. Also if you are eating a lot of processed food like frozen meals, deli meats, and ww snacks, baked chips the calories are good but often very high in sodium. And also for myself to lose weight I have to exercise 4x or more a week! Ww works, you just have to eat healthier and have patience. I know you can do it so don't give up!

Are you watching portion sizes? You might try. The protein drinks with raw veggies x daily and eat a good breakfast as the main meal. When I want to take off a few pounds in a hurry, this is what works for me

Try lifting weights. Building muscle burns more calories.

Would you consider switching to green to see if an alternative program is more successful for you? I found it better regulated my pattern of eating . Good luck and congratulations

I’m on green plan and my scale numbers look pretty much like yours. 1st week lost 5 and it’s been up and down since. Very frustrating!

I also track calories and macros on My Fitness Pal along with WW blue and do 16:8 intermittent fasting every day. I've lost 76 lbs in a little over a year. The fasting REALLY kicked it into high gear.

@kurd3077 what is intermittent fasting ? No food past 6 pm? Or day long?

Show your coach and get some ideas. Track your free foods. You can do this

Could be due to building muscle mass given your exercising. Aside from the number how do you feel in your body? Are your clothes fitting better? Do you feel like you have more energy? Sometimes the number on the scale may not change but the nonscale victories are abundant!

Sodium Also . building muscle does not change weight. A pound is a pound . whether it’s feathers or fat.

Measure your inches! Sometimes the scale doesn’t budge at all but your inches decrease. Keep motivated! It’s a tough go but stick to it.

Are you eating too many zero points? They add up as calories. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day minimum 5 days a week, even if it’s just walking!

When someone is getting a good amount of exercise and not losing , I always suggest eating a bit more You may not be eating enough for the amount of exercise you’re getting ‍♀️. Another thought is to change to Green for a few weeks and see what happens.

Portions, portions, portions, zero pts. does not mean eat all you want. Drink a lot of water too. Hang in there, try to figure out what your body reacts to, me I gain weight when I eat any carbs beans included, just the facts. I do better on veggies and protein and some fruit. i am 75 and have lost 45lbs.

Google "the whoosh effect" The hard work you put in today may not show up for a couple of weeks.

First check to see if you are loosing inches. second the blue plan can be deceiving with 0 point foods. they are not limitless. fruit veggies meat and dairy all have calories. on this plan you really need to make sure you are not over eating “zero” point foods. be sure to weigh and measure your portions of zero point foods You may not be over eating your points but can be eating thousands of calories a day of so called free foods

I started on green and was there briefly before I switched to blue. I lost more quickly on green but blue feels more sustainable for me and I’m still losing (albeit slightly slower). I would maybe take a look at what you are using your points for. I know that if I don’t eat all day and then I cash in my points at the end of the day and eat a lot of carbs, it causes me to gain. In that scenario, I am within my daily points and getting a blue dot, but I know for sure that the foods I use those points for are not going to help me lose weight. People say you can eat whatever you want but I don’t think it’s as easy as just stick to your points and lose. It may work for some people, but I also think that what we use the points for matters. So if you’re staying within your points, start doing inventory of what the points are being spent on— try and use the bulk of the points on veggies and lean meat, and add in fruits and then what’s left over, use for carbs and snacks.

I would switch to green. It made me not use zero point foods I. Quantity except fruits and veggies. I would meet with you leader and ask for some help and recommendations. I know when I do that it works better

Take your measurements. It could be in inches and not showing yet on the scale. Good luck!

Are you saying 8-10 daily or for the week?

I'm on blue. When I go over my daily points limit more than 1 day a week, I either stay the same or gain. I found with my body, I need to adhere strictly to the points and workout (even if it is only an hour of walking) 5 times/week. Also, water makes a big difference. I need to drink my daily requirement of water to keep on track. Hang in there! Today is a new day.

When you are exercising you put on muscle and muscle weighs more. that could be it

Bodies are complex machines and can be fickle with the scale for many normal reasons. Stick with the plan and your body will figure it out A couple other thoughts- 1. Many lose best when they eat most/all of their points (daily and weekly). Some feel the need to limit them. Experiment to see what works best for your body 2. Not all progress shows on the scale - especially if you are exercising. You might be swapping fat for muscle. That’s a good thing but it doesn’t show on the scale. It shows in a stronger leaner toned body. Take your measurements

Honestly I’d switch to the Green plan. It’s more structured and you have less ‘free’ foods, that really aren’t free at all. Stay within your point zone and try to get a blue dot everyday. It’s about the food, exercising is just a bonus!

Sometimes hidden sugars and salt in food that you are eating including free food. Maybe try the green plan. It’s more strict but it might help. Also I seen something the other day that I loved. Take a piece of yarn and measure your waist. Hang it on the wall. Do this every week and watch the yarn shrink even if the numbers on the scale don’t. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. You will be gorgeous.

Are you watching your portion sizes on your zero point foods? Maybe you need to try green for a more strict plan. Or go into a meeting and chat with the group.
by (380 points)
@malignancy I don’t think I eat enough zero pints
by (1.7k points)
@birkle2491 I had to switch from green because I wasn’t eating enough. When on this plan, they assume you will eat zero point foods. I switched to the 30 points per day with less zero foods and started losing
by (420 points)
Not sure that’s even possible, but I’m no expert. I still think a more strict plan might be better. But if you’re close to your goal weight you need to also understand it is a slowww process. And 2 lbs is super normal. Stay away from salt, sugar and fizzy beverages.

Try cutting back on the sugary, starchy veggies like corn and peas, and cut down on red meat. Chicken and especially fish are my plateau busters. If you still have trouble losing, take your tracker and discuss it with your coach. Congrats on your wedding. You have a great motivation to lose!

I love WW, but I find I’m insulin sensitive and really have to watch the carbs.
